# Private RPC Gateway & Web3 VPN

### **Private RPC Gateway & Web3 VPN**

#### **Overview**

The **Private RPC Gateway** functions as an **encrypted, decentralized VPN and proxy layer** that anonymizes all Solana RPC and dApp interactions.\
It provides the foundation for zkShine’s “**Privacy Mode**” allowing wallets, explorers, and applications to connect to Solana **without ever revealing user metadata or connection details**.

#### **Core Features**

* **Decentralized VPN Layer**\
  Routes RPC requests through multiple zkShine VPN nodes, randomizing network paths and eliminating single points of observation.
* **Header & Metadata Scrubbing**\
  Automatically removes all identifying HTTP headers and fingerprints before forwarding requests to Solana RPC endpoints.
* **Native Solana Compatibility**\
  Works with standard RPC calls (`getBalance`, `sendTransaction`, etc.) and all Solana SDKs.
* **Privacy Mode for Wallets**\
  Enables wallet integrations (Phantom, Backpack, Solflare) to toggle “Private RPC” seamlessly for enhanced anonymity.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.zkshine.xyz/core-modules/private-rpc-gateway-and-web3-vpn.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
